Most people assume "Made in Egypt" means Egyptian cotton.
Egypt does grow some of the finest cotton in the world, Giza, from the Nile Delta. It also exports almost half of that raw cotton to India, for shirts and bedsheets. And the yarn used by Egyptian mills comes mostly from India too, standard grade, not the premium fiber.
Two different products, two directions, same trade lane. Not a contradiction. Just how global cotton moves.
